Text Box: One common misconceptions about Core training is that abdominal muscles alone give you a strong core. But the “core” consists of many different muscles that stabilize the spine and pelvis and run the entire length of the torso. Core muscles make it possible to stand upright and move on two feet. Core muscles shift body weight, transfer energy and help control movement. For core training to be effective, it must target all of these muscles groups. The benefits of a strong core include functional fitness that is essential to daily living and regular activities, like lifting a box above your head, or pulling out the lawnmower. A strong core allows your body to efficiently transfer force from lower to upper and protects the back. Core training also improves balance and stability and corrects postural imbalances that can lead to injuries. The loss of core strength has been associated with lower back pain which statistics suggest 60 to 80 percent of Americans will experience at some point in their life. Protect your body and the way you want to experience life. Push fitness to the core!
Cheryl and I like the Firms Core Workout. We both agree that we did see visible results in less than ten workouts.

Round out your core training with aerobic exercise, and flexibility training for a complete fitness program.

Cheryl challenged me to a workout at Stone Mountain Park.  The climb up was a great workout and the view from the top is lovely.
