Text Box: It’s been over a year since Where Women Grow made her debut online, July 26th, 2008 and we are growing better every day. It feels as if the year flew by, and when I look back I’m proud of our accomplishments, and know endless opportunities are out there for those of us will do the work required to take advantage of them. Last year this season many of us cautiously believed we would have spectacular fresh leadership in our nation’s capital. “I never believed I’d see this in my lifetime”, I heard, overwhelmingly from people of color after the
historic election.
Can you image how it must feel to win, when so many believed there was no way? Even after winning, our President continues to push his agenda forward in spite of critics, opposition, and the world looking and judging. That’s why we must keep growing, and keep going with the energy of President Barak Obama. It keeps me focused to know that every minute I put into Where Women Grow is creating a job that I love, a job that can help people enjoy life more. I have the same energy as our president and in spite of setbacks and adversity, exercising discipline now, for a future full of adventure, laughter, opportunity, and peace is well worth the growing pains experienced over the year. That’s how I know I will be successful. I won’t let anything discourage me from achieving my dreams …and don’t let anyone stop you from getting yours.

You decide to leave the couch and start an exercise program.
